Submission Requirements – Green Wells Innovation Challenge: Fueling the Future

All participating teams must submit a complete project package through Devpost by the stated deadline during Phase 2 (August–October 2025). Below are the required and optional submission elements:

Innovation Themes – Green Wells Innovation Challenge

At Green Wells Energies, we believe innovation flourishes when creativity meets purpose. As such, the themes below are not strict categories, but rather inspiration zones to help guide your thinking. You are encouraged to think boldly, outside the box, and beyond boundaries, as long as your solution aligns with energy sector transformation and Green Wells’ core values.

Your solution may touch on one or more of the following areas:

  1. Smart Operations & Workflow Management
Explore ways to simplify, digitize, or automate traditional energy processes. Think about how technology can streamline internal operations, whether through approval flows, reconciliation, inventory tracking, or fleet scheduling.

  2. Reimagining the Consumer Experience
What would a modern, seamless, and delightful LPG or energy experience look like? Consider mobile ordering, delivery tracking, safety alerts, loyalty programs, or anything else that improves how people interact with energy services.

  3. Youth-Led Energy Innovation
How might we engage the youth, our most dynamic audience, in energy use and advocacy? Ideas might involve social media integrations, gamified learning, or peer-to-peer platforms tailored to the habits of Gen Z and millennials.

  4. Better Customer Support, Better Trust
Can you design tools that simplify how customers reach out for support? Think intelligent help desks, AI chat, feedback dashboards, or multilingual platforms that bring us closer to the people we serve.

  5. Fleet, Delivery & Logistics Intelligence
Delivery is core to what we do. From predictive maintenance and live GPS tracking to digital cylinder return systems, how can tech make our logistics more efficient, safe, and reliable?

☘️ Open-Ended Exploration (Go Beyond!)
Beyond the ideas above, you are welcome to submit any solution that promotes:

  • Sustainability and ESG

  • Data-informed decision-making

Whether your solution is hardware or software, community-driven or tech-heavy, youth-focused or nationwide, what matters most is that it contributes to a smarter, greener, and more inclusive energy future for Kenya and beyond.
